We understand the important role that service animals play in the lives of our guests with disabilities. Therefore, we welcome service animals to accompany their owners during their stay at any of our rentals.

Service animals must be kept under the control of their owners at all times and must be properly harnessed or leashed, unless these devices interfere with the service animal's work or the individual's disability prevents them from using these devices. Owners are also responsible for cleaning up after their service animals.

We reserve the right to ask any guest with an animal to leave the premises if the animal poses a threat to the safety or comfort of other guests or if the animal is not a service animal.

No, Hatfield-McCoy permits are not included with your lodging. However, we will contact you 7-10 days prior to your arrival to see if you need Hatfield-McCoy permits. If so, we can take payment for them and place them inside of your location.

According to the Hatfield-McCoy website "Rockhouse, Devil Anse, and Buffalo trails connect". By Staying near Rockhouse, you have access to all 3 trails without trailering.

No! Gilbert is an ATV friendly town. Which means, you can ride your dirt bikes, ATV's, Side by Side's, etc anywhere in town as long as you are wearing a helmet.

Yes, helmets are required on the trails as well as in the town of Gilbert. Everyone riding on a trail bike, ATV, side-by-side, etc. is required to wear a DOT or Snell approved helmet and eye protection.

Gilbert is blessed to have a Community Center unlike many others in our state. The Larry Joe Harless Community Center has a full basketball gym, olympic size pool, hot tub, sauna's, cafe, weight room, walking track, etc. They offer daily rates, and weekly rates. CaneBrake, Will's Place, Kermit's Kabin, Willow Cabin, Riverside Treehouse, are all located together, next to the river, across from Trail 17 of Rockhouse, Sleeps up to 40+

Fireside and FireHouse are next to each other in town. Sleeps up to 29+

Guyan 1 & 2 are next to each other in town. Sleeps up to 32+

Gilbert Suites has 9 standard rooms and 3 suites, sleeps up to 15+

SkyView Cabin and Thacker Hollow are secluded. While they are not located next to each other, they are a short riding distance (by vehicle or ATV) from each other.

Almost everything you could possibly need is included with your stay! Firewood, Propane, even ziplock baggies for the kitchen. However, at most of our locations we do reccomend bringing a hair dryer (if you need it) and chairs for the firepit. You can find a full list of items included for

Ages (0-6) are no additional charge. All other ages are $30 per person, per night above the included number of guests. Please see each cabins individual page to configure how many guests are included. For example, Thacker Hollow includes up to 12 guests at the base pricing.
